Places we have stayed:

Tuscany Italy - The country villa "Il Palazzotto" dates back to the 18th century, when it was the manor house of this small Etruscan village set in the classic Sienese landscape of cypress-lined avenues, castles and farms with vineyards and olive groves.

The location of il Palazzotto is 30km south from Siena giving you easy access for daytrips to all over Tuscany including Florence. Brunello vine is grown in this region of historic towns and monasteries along the ancient Roman and pilgrim roads.

The villa sleeps 12 people with 6 double bedrooms and 6 baths.

The 2 level masonry villa opens out to a vast terrace garden with terra cotta planters and vine shaded pergolas. Here you can enjoy candle-lit dining "al fresco" with sunset views.
Il Palazzotto also offers guests the option to have classic Tuscan meals produced by its onsite staff (Bruschette Toscane, Zuppa di farro, Crostini di milza e tartufo, etc.)

A few step up on the adjacent terrace is the private 30 foot swimming pool and a sunbathing area overlooking the Crevole river valley.

Miegle, Scotland - Drumkilbo House - The present house, which can accommodate up to 22 persons, incorporates the remains of a fortified tower dating from the 13th century. Indeed, the first recorded owner of Drumkilbo was King Robert the Bruce, who gave it to Morice de Tiry in about 1300. The Tyrees were the first confirmed inhabitants of Drumkilbo. On an old tombstone in Kirkinch (Nevay) Churchyard. they are described as ' 'honest men and brave fellows '. The chief of the clan joined Robert the Bruce in the Wars of Independence.

The house includes a heated swimming pool, formal living rooms, dinning rooms, sitting rooms, fully equipped kitchens and everything else you could need.  We had a fantastic time here!

Sant Mori, Spain - Castel Sant Mori - A medieval palatial castle in Northeast Spain.  Located in the small village of Sant Mori halfway between the historic cities of Girona and Figueres, home of the Dali Museum, and close to the beaches of the Costa Brava. Ideal location to explore the catalan region, rich in excellent restaurants, charming towns and a large variety of cultural excursions.

The castle has witnessed different historic moments, the most relevant being the stay of Queen Juana Enriquez and her son Fernando, who would later become Fernando the Catholic, who would later marry Isabel and together they would sponsor the voyage made by Christopher Columbus to discover America.

Nowadays, the Master Bedroom “La Estancia de la Reina Juana” is one of ten in the castle available to the visitors

Galway, Ireland - Ross Castle - The hosts Elizabeth and George are just wonderful!  Words can't describe this property set in more than 90 acres of mowed lawns and its own private lake.  The main house has 5 amazing bedrooms all with private bathrooms and the attached "cottages" can accommodate another 30 people.  Two things that are a must when staying here, is Elizabeth's home made chocolate chip cookies and dinner in the vaulted basement, you will not be disappointed!

La Flocelliere, France - Chateau de la Flocelliere - We have not stayed here yet, but we will September 11 - 17, 2011.  Join us and experience for yourself this magnificent property!
