CrewMembers play a vital role in our events. As a CrewMember you may be asked to drive along with either the Walkers or Riders and help them throughout the day. This could include, marking the route, setting up pit stops, setting up lunch, driving walkers to the starting destination or transporting a Rider that needs a lift. You might also help with breakfast and dinner prep or clean up. Your job as a CrewMember is to make sure the Walkers and Riders are well taken care of and only need to concentrate on walking or riding.
In order to be a CrewMember you must have a valid drivers license and be able to drive in the country the event is taking place. In some cases this might mean driving on the left side of the road or driving a stick shift vehicle. The largest vehicle we rent are 9 seat passenger vans.
You may also be asked to arrive earlier than the Riders and Walkers so you can be registered with your vehicle and drive the routes in advance of the walkers and riders so you know where you are going. All vehicles are equipped with Garmin GPS devices.
If you have any questions about being a CrewMember, please contact us, we will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
