Saturday, September 11, 2010 - Early Arrival - We'll have more information on this soon.


Sunday, September 12, 2010 – Arrive in Buonconvento, Italy we’ll meet you at the train station and it’s a short trip to the Villa.  After you check in, you’ll be able to explore the villa and all it has to offer.


Monday, September 13, 2010 – We will start the day with a group stretch and hearty breakfast at 8:00am.  Ride and Walk out will follow at 9am.  Both Riders and Walkers will make the trek up to Mount Oliveto Abby After exploring the Abby you will continue to San Giovanni d'Asso and then back to Buonconvento.

Walkers will start with a ceremonial walkout, after which walkers will be picked up and driven to Mount Oliveto.  You'll have time to explore the Abby and then make your way to San Giovanni d'Asso for lunch and back to the villa.  Its a long day, with many steep hills and dirt roads so be prepared.

Riders will ride all the way to Mount Oliveto, where you will enjoy lunch then explore the Abby.  After exploring the Abby you will make your way to San Giovanni d'Asso and then back to the villa.  Since you will be traveling on many of the same roads as the walkers, be prepared for many hills and dirt roads.


Tuesday, September 14, 2010 – After a group stretch and breakfast at 8am, today's destination is the hill top town of Montalcino.  The region is famous for its Brunello Wine.

Walkers will start with a drive to Montalcino, where you will explore the town and the Fortress which was built in 1361.  Lunch will be in a local trattoria, then we will start the downhill trek back to the villa.

Riders, its not called Mont-alcino for nothing, its a long steady climb, but once at the top and you are over looking the entire valley you will truly appreciate what it took to get there...  What's the best part of an uphill climb, yes the downhill, almost 8 miles!  Just you and the open road as you make your way back to the Villa.


Wednesday, September 15, 2010 – Today you will make your way to the fortified city of Siena.  We will stay overnight in Siena, so remember to pack an overnight bag.  While in Siena you will have time to explore this city that was settled in about 500 BC.  Points of interest include the clock tower, Piazza del Campo, the Duomo, shopping and eating!

Thursday, September 16, 2010 – Today we will wake and finish exploring Siena, enjoy lunch and then make our way back to the villa.  The route today will take you over paved and unpaved roads, through rural farmlands, and through hamlet towns.

Friday, September 17, 2010 -- Today's walk starts with a drive to the small town of Bagno Vignoni.  This town is know for it's thermal hot springs so bring your bathing suit. We'll walk back to our Villa and closing ceremonies.

Today's Ride takes us to the same town as the walkers are departing from, but we'll ride there and back.  Remember to bring your bathing suit!

Saturday, September 18, 2010 - Today we’ll say our goodbye's and depart with a transfer to the train station at 10:00am.
