Itinerary

Saturday – If you wish to take advantage of our early arrival you can arrive anytime after 4:00pm.  The cost is $150.00pp and includes accommodations for the night, Dinner and Breakfast on Sunday morning.  Dinner will be a 3-course Scottish meal.  The evening is yours to do as you please, tour the cottage or grounds, play a round of Snooker, or take a dip in the heated pool. 

Sunday – For those arriving today, you may do so at anytime as long as you are here for the safety meeting at 6:30pm dinner will follow there after.  After dinner there will be a little prep work for Monday Morning's breakfast. 

Monday – On our first day of riding, we will travel west to the town of Dunkeld where we will have lunch.  Along the way we will pass towns with name of Alyth, Rattray and Blairgowire.  After lunch we make our way back to the cottage, first traveling along the River Tay and then turning back onto the road we used this morning.  Mileage 50 

Tuesday – Our day starts with a cycle east to Glamis Castle .  You will have ample time to explore this great castle before we make our way to Forfar for our lunch stop.  After lunch we head north to Kirriemuir and then we turn west to make our way home.  Mileage 35

Wednesday – Today you are in for a treat as we make our way westward to Scone Palace .  After touring this magnificent castle we will make our way to the castle kitchens where we will enjoy a group lunch of home made soup, roast chicken and vegetables over rice and followed by apple and black berry cobbler with cream, YUMMY!  Please bring enough cash, lunch and entrance to the castle will cost you $20 pounds.  Mileage 45 

Thursday – Brings us our second longest day as we make our way to the coast and the town of Arbroath , known for its smokehouses.  We start the day along the same route as Tuesday before we turn southwest to Arbroath.  After lunch it is northwest to Douglastown and then west to home. Mileage 50 

Friday – For our last day of riding we head into the Highlands of Scotland, well actually more like the foothills of the Highlands  Today’s mileage is the lowest of the week, but don’t let that fool you, you will have some serious hills to contend with, but after a weeks work of riding you will be ready.  We make our way north to Dykend for a pack lunch.  Then its south as we make our way home.  Mileage 35 

Saturday – After breakfast you can make your way home or to other lands waiting for discovery.
