All Riders and Crewmembers must arrive in Galway Ireland on Sunday, August 9, 2009 by 3:00pm (15,00). There will be a shuttle bus from the train station in Galway that will take you to our castle.
There will be a safety and orientation meeting at 6:30pm (18,30) followed by your first group dinner.
Our travel recommendations:
We suggest you depart the USA on Friday and arrive in Ireland on Saturday. You can fly into any of the major cities in Ireland, but Dublin seems to be the easiest with train service to Galway (www.irishrail.ie). This will give you an extra day to get accustomed to the time change before you start Riding or Walking. This extra day will also give you an opportunity to explore the great city of Dublin.
On Sunday August 9th, there will be a shuttle from the train station in Galway to our Country Manor House at 3pm. It will take about 30-45 minutes to get from Galway to the House.
On Saturday August 15th, there will be a shuttle from the house to the train station in Galway at 9:30am. This will get you to the train station in plenty of time for the 10:50am train back to Dublin.
If you are flying into any other city, it is your responsibility to get yourself to and from the train station in Galway in time for our shuttle or to get yourself directly to the Manor House.
